Caitlin Crisp is home.

… in more ways than one.

Caitlin Crisp is home.

As of the beginning of October, Caitlin Crisp has acquired Corso Merivale, the much-loved Christchurch destination for luxury homewares, fashion and lifestyle

For Caitlin, the acquisition is about more than expanding the Caitlin Crisp world. It is a return to a place that has been part of her own story for as long as she can remember.

Along with Ballantynes, Corso was a special shopping tradition for Mum and I, from when I was young. We'd always start or finish with a coffee next door at Brigettes... it feels pretty special to now be coming back to this place in such a different way.

Originally established as Corso de' Fiori more than 30 years ago, the Merivale store has long been part of Christchurch’s retail landscape. In 2013, the business was purchased by Jacqueline Kirwan-Green and Andrew Green and became Corso Merivale, continuing its legacy as a curated destination for considered fashion, interiors and design.

Now, more than a decade later, a new chapter begins.

The Corso space will become a home for the full Caitlin Crisp collection, bringing together the brand’s ready-to-wear, accessories and lifestyle offering under one roof, alongside the carefully curated world of Corso.

For Caitlin, the move feels like a natural extension of what the brand has always been about. “Corso has always had this really beautiful mix of things that I love — fashion, interiors, beautiful objects and pieces that you want to keep forever. It feels like such a natural fit for Caitlin Crisp, but it’s also really special to be doing this in Christchurch.”

The store will continue to honour the spirit and history of Corso while introducing a new chapter for the space — one that brings Caitlin Crisp closer to home.
